June 10, 2008

Today I was called upon by the Ohio House leadership in Columbus and
appointed to the role of state representative for the 42nd Ohio House
District, which encompasses Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Munroe Falls, Silver
Lake and Stow. With great pride, honor, and a sense of purpose and
responsibility, I have answered this call. I was blessed to have my family
and friends at my side as I formally took the oath of office and
subsequently began my first day as your state representative.

Our district is in need of leadership and representation in the Ohio House.
As an individual who has served in many leadership roles both during my time at Kent State University and throughout my 15-year career as an education, health care and public policy expert, I'm prepared to represent the 42nd Ohio House District in the professional and visible manner it deserves.

In the coming days I will call upon civic and business leaders, school board
members and superintendents, activists, volunteers and residents to share
their ideas for strengthening our district and state. And, I promise to
give each voice the attention and respect it deserves.

Thank you for your vote of confidence in the March 4 primary and for the
opportunity to serve.

Respectfully,
Richard Nero
